The Boathouse is packed to the rafters with beautiful and original nauticalia, ready for a brilliantly sunny Easter weekend. Excitingly, following on from the fabulous international success of our movie Fisherman’s Friends @fishermansfriendsmovie, now if you’ve seen the film, read the book and listened to all the the CDs, then it’s time to get the T shirt!

Our son Jake Cleave @portisaactradingco has right here in Port Isaac designed the Shanty Town leisurewear range, a selection of T shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts celebrating the sea shanty.

The old songs from the great days of sail, thanks to the movie and to the singing of The Fisherman’s Friends, has been well and truly revived in the national zeitgeist. Sold exclusively through Boathouse, the Shanty Town range is proving so popular with our lovely customers that Jake has added some more for us, with cleverly illustrated extracts from some of your favourite shanties, as sung long ago by our seafaring ancestors.
